Kaiju Week Day 2 Heisei Minis

Ahh the Heisei Era. The set of Godzilla films from the 90's. Consisting of several films with a shared continuity (one thing I appreciate about it, over the Millennium films). If this image doesn't sum it up I don't know what does.

Hunk of burning love

Godzilla as he appeared in the final film of the Heisei series, "Godzilla vs. Destroyah". An over abundance of radiation within the leviathan has caused him to start overheating. If humanity can't find a way to stop his nuclear reactions, then it will certainly be the end of everything. Overall this is a nice figure, though the best Burning Godzilla figures have translucent red parts. Just makes for a better effect.

Mole or Penguin?
M.O.G.U.E.R.A. is from the film "Godzilla vs Spacegodzilla". Standing for: Mobile Operation Godzilla Universal Expert Aero-type. A machine built to replace Mechagodzilla, M.O.G.U.E.R.A. would come to aid in the fight against Spacegodzilla. Being able to separate both a land an air component made the machine even more versatile, it's design and name is also based on a Showa Era alien mecha. Not a bad figure, the shoulders can rotate on this one much like G'54.

Crab people!
Intermediate, or Aggregate form of my favorite Heisei era foe. Destroyah (or Destoroyah, Destroyer, Desutoroia). I love the designs of all the forms on this kaiju. This middle form is the result of many human sized versions fusing together. A creature from the pre-camrbian period, brought back to life by the Oxygen Destroyer weapon used to kill the original Godzilla. Mutated by the weapon, this creature(s) began evolving into larger and stronger forms by continually fusing into one another. The majority of figures for Des are of it's final form, so finding one of these is not quite as common. And you can basically forget finding a real figure of  his penultimate flying form.

Final Round!
This demonic creature is Des' final form. Standing taller than Godzilla and with giant bat crab wings, this creature was actually able to split up into several of the Aggregate form temporarily as a surprise attack. Overall my favorite from the entire pack of destruction.

Note; I also had a Manda figure from this set but I have managed to loose it TWICE. If I ever find it (doubtful since I haven't seen it in years) I will be sure to add it to yesterday's Showa post.

Catch you gents tomorrow!
