Dawww

Look where we are, actually back in the box. Today's topic is some miniatures by Safari LTD. Though I received most (probably all) of my Safari minis in one tube, they are available in their own separate collections however. I just happened upon a Mega Tube at a Micheal's once.

Dawww
First up is a baby Parasaurolphus. Not only available in tubes, some of these were bundled with larger figures. I like the colors and cute expression. Likely alot more accurate than the previously featured Jurassic Park baby Para. And yes, today's post is about baby dinosaurs.

Too cute to ruin a franchise
Next up, the baby Spinosaurus. All of the expressions on these guys are sculpted perfectly for that "awww" factor. The colors on this one leave a bit to be desired however. Not sure how useful being dull orange would be. But as a piscivore, camouflage isn't quite that necessary anyhow.

Yellow bellied baby!
Good sculpt, but this baby Brachiosaurus suffers from an odd color choice. You't think at this age, camo would be even more important. Since I'm a broken record, you gotta love this guy's face and the way his neck is turned. He is so happy to see you.

Knobby
Finally, back to colors that aren't crazy. This triceratops looks good, and I appreciate the running pose. More action out of this one than the entire lot. Love it's nubby horns. Like the detail on the frill and such as well. This guy would be perfect to have follow some larger Triceratops figures.

Little Al
Make no mistake, this Allosaurus can stand just fine, I just figured this was a nicer pose to shoot the picture with. Back to a bright color scheme however. Sure it has a little green, but its so light you might miss it upon first glance. Not my favorite of the lot, but not terrible.

Smarter than the average bird?
Sticking with a "safe" color this Velociraptor isn't half bad, and manages to be somewhat cute. Though not as much as the rest. Seems to have some rather long arms though, but that could just be me.

Prince of the terrible lizards
Last, but certainly not least we come to the baby Tyrannosaurus Rex. Sure hes pretty darn monotone, but that face is so easily forgiven. Good sculpt, and a pose that shows how curious he is in you or whatever he happens to be look at. I love this guy! And since noone has said it yet, anyone else getting a Prehysteria vibe from these guys?

That is all for now, catch you next week!
